Wata ƙungiyar bincike daga Kwalejin Kimiyya ta ƙasar Sin (CAS) ta buga sakamakon bincikensu a cikin Bugun Duniya na Angewandte Chemie, inda ta ƙirƙiro sabuwar fasahar ɗaukar hoto. Wannan fasaha tana amfani da na'urar ɗaukar hoto ta Pt₁Au/TiO₂ don ba da damar haɗakar CN tsakanin ethylene glycol (wanda aka samu daga zubar da sharar filastik na PET) da ruwan ammonia a ƙarƙashin yanayi mai sauƙi, wanda ke haɗa kai tsaye da formamide—wani abu mai sinadarai masu daraja.
Wannan tsari yana samar da sabon tsari na "sake amfani da" sharar filastik, maimakon sauƙaƙe rage gudu, kuma yana da fa'idar muhalli da tattalin arziki.
